Happy new year everyone, wow! I don't know if it's only me but 2010 went by quite fast. I wish you all a splendid 2011, I pray we all continuously have reason to be thankful in this year and beyond.
2010 was a tough but good year for me, I learned a lot..about myself and some more about human beings in general, took a couple of steps in the next stage of my academics, met a couple of interesting folks, drove a little over a day to a new state, missed my family a LOT, had quite a number of crying sessions with my dad over the phone (my dad doesn't like it when I cry sha hehe I keep on telling him that I'm a woman and crying helps me feel better at times), I GREW!!
I just had one of the best Christmas and new year breaks ever :) a lot of chilling, actually taking the time out to see this new city of mine..in good company too, pure bliss I tell ya.
I want to talk about Nigeria, but I don't even know where to start from..some things happening in that country leave me speechless, make me wonder about the sanity of the individuals we call "leaders," or reiterate my opinion that some people look like human being but really aren't. I pray for peace in Jos and the country in general especially in this election year, that country has so much potential.
On Haiti, quite frankly I don't understand how millions and millions of dollars in relief funds were donated to Red Cross, Unicef etc. yet little has been done to improve the situation. What happened to all the money?
Sometimes I see life as a survival of the fittest kind of process. In some way I think it is but there's a risk of individuals going through life only mentally without fully experiencing life in of itself with that kind of mentality IMHO..kinda makes it not life then plus there's the potential to treat others harshly since you're unlikely to be empathetic----
Anyway, I just said to wish everyone a happy new year..I'm still on break from school here :) few more days to go so I'll try and enjoy sleeping in some more :D
Take care and be good :)
Happy New year hun! and amen to your prayers!
