So I was actually supposed to put this up last night but....sleep man! had to jump on that bed. Hope everyonez been doing great and happy new month o! can't believe (well actually I can haha!) the year is almost over.
Anyway I'm going through one of my "I need my space phases". You see I have these phases where I don't feel like talking to anyone and don't want anyone to be in contact with me via phone or otherwise because I don't want to feel obligated to get in contact with anyone ; I just need them to forget for a minute that I exist.
Fortunately/unfortunately I have been unable to get as much space as I want, I have about 9/10 (I lost count) voice messages on my cell as I type this now and 1/2 peeps are beginning to wonder. For some reason I don't like listening to voice-mails, I'm one of those people who'll call a friend back asking what he/she said in my voice mail because I don't wannna listen to it. So right now I have no idea what all those messages say.....and I don't like leaving voice messages for people too!
To some extent I feel this my behavior is selfish sha! as in what if someone really needs my help and calls me and in the name of "I need my space" I don't answer and things don't quite workout for this person? but then again I feel like I spend so much time trying to be strong for others and my "I need my space" phases rejuvenate me and help me be strong for my own self.
On the flip side una dey fall my hand o! so no Laker fans in the whole of this blogsville? Ehen! so who una kon dey root for? haha!
And by the way after my initial fronting hehehe Banky W's "strong thing" track is beginning to grow on me o! but I still like "Lagos party" better though :)

@Fabulo-la: lol! 20??? and I thought mine was bad...as per deleting without listening to them I don't know, I usually have it start playing then hit delete. So u don't think I'm being selfish huh. I appreciate your stopping by.

ReplyDeleteSometimes we all need our personal space but check the messages as you never know who really needs help.
I have my 'need space' moments randomly, but I try not to go MIA 'cos I don't appreciate it when people shut me out for extended periods of time.
ReplyDeleteOooh but gial, just like you I'm not a fan of listening to my voicemail. One time I checked and I had 17 messages to catch up on. *cringes*, don't like leaving VMs either.
Oh, how i hate listening to Voice messages too. I just press delete without a second thot.lol. Bad manners i suppose but am i buvvered?
